Birds of the Night: Who Cooks for You?

Join Research Curator of Ornithology from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, John Gerwin and members of the Wake Audubon Society as they share their knowledge and love of birds. Discover the myths, mysteries and misconceptions about nocturnal birds. What does the Screech Owl sound like? Do Barn Owls like barns? Learn the avian truth and cultural highlights about things that go “HOOT” or WHIPPOORWILL” or  “PEENT” in the night. Afterwards, stick around for an OWL-anatomy lesson by taking an in-depth look at the skeletons and muscles of several birds of the night.
